Baffins begin February at the PMC Stadium for their second home match in four days.

This time basement side Alresford Town are the visitors for the Wessex Premier contest, which kicks-off at 3pm.

The visitors will arrive in PO3 less than 48 hours after their last match - a 1-0 cup victory over Totton & Eling on Thursday evening.

That victory was the Magpies first since a penalty shootout victory over Fawley in the Russell Cotes Cup in October. But, before that, it was the opening night 2-1 scoreline at Shaftesbury.

It has been a campaign to forget in the league so far for Alresford and Louis Lacey represents the Magpies’ third managerial appointment of the campaign, after exits for Danny Ackland and Adam Clark.

It’s the second time the two clubs have met so far this term, with Baffins cruising to a 3-0 victory at Alrebury Park in September; Tom Vincent and Kelvin Robinson on target.

Alresford are 14 points behind Cowes Sports and step-five safety, but will look to build on their Southampton Cup victory at the PMC on Saturday.

Baffins will aim to continue momentum built in the closing stages of Tuesday’s contest, which saw late goals from Brad Lethbridge and Robinson to claim all three points over United Services Portsmouth.

With a victory, Baffins could climb to seventh in the table, should results from Hythe & Dibden and Shaftesbury’s matches go in Rovers’ favour.

Tickets for the Wessex Premier clash can only be purchased on the turnstiles on Saturday 4 February and are priced £6 adults and £4 concessions.

The £10 deal is available for this fixture and includes entry, programme and a beer from the Clubhouse.
