Brockenhurst make the trip from the New Forest for Baffins’ second PMC Stadium clash in five days, and the Badgers will be aiming to bounce back from defeat against Laverstock & Ford.
Brockenhurst's previous match was a defeat in PO territory at Moneyfields. Pat McManus' side found themselves 4-1 down at Westleigh Park at half time, leaving an eventual mountain to climb in the second half.
Cassius Newton gave Brockenhurst an early lead in the Wessex Premier Division contest, and Silvano Obeng — who returned to Brockenhurst from Winchester City this month — struck a. stoppage-time consolation.
Brockenhurst head into Saturday’s match in PO3 after a midweek battle with Laverstock & Ford, and the Badgers are currently 13th in the standings. They had been without last campaign’s star striker Obeng, until he returned to Grigg Lane this month, and McManus’ side have also seen Mitchell Speechley-Price leave the club for Southern League Lymington Town.
The Badger’s last victory was against United Services Portsmouth last month. But since, they have been on the losing side at Hythe & Dibden and Hamble Club.
The reverse meeting at Grigg Lane was Baffins’ best victory this term, running out 6-1 winners in a
comfortable afternoon. Jason Parish and Kelvin Robinson both bagged braces, as Obi Saidy and substitute Alpay Ali, both of which have now departed the club, scored to round-off the victory.
Danny Thompson's side will head into the clash with the Badgers full of confidence after midweek victory over Hythe & Dibden on home turf. James Mayo was sent off early on for the visitors, but goals from Jason Parish and Kelvin Robinson ensured a strong victory — the sixth successive in PO3.
You can watch Baffins take on Brockenhurst at PMC Stadium on Saturday 4 March (3pm). Tickets are priced £6 adults and £4 concessions.
The £10 deal is available for this match, which includes entry, beer and a programme.
