Baffins secure back-to-back victories with professional display at Victory Stadium.

Kelvin Robinson scored either side of the break as Baffins conceded a penalty and saw out a period with ten men to earn a valuable three points in Gunwharf.

Danny Thompson made two changes from the record-breaking victory at Christchurch, with Miles Everett replacing Dillon North in the starting eleven.

It took Rovers almost twenty minutes to have their first chance of the clash as the returning Everett found space on the edge of the box, before his deflected shot found Burroughs – who fired over from distance.

And there were 37 minutes on the clock before Thompson’s side broke the deadlock, as ROBINSON latched onto the ball, beating the hosts offside trap and firing past Logan O’Donnell.

United Services Portsmouth almost levelled the match up moments later, as a cross from the byline was met by Liam Kelly, who somehow didn’t convert his first-time effort from close range.

It was a slow start after the restart, with both sides finding it tricky to express themselves on a heavy Victory Stadium pitch.

The best passing move of the encounter was to follow though, as ROBINSON secured his second after an impressive one-touch move saw the forward convert after receiving Burroughs’ flicked through ball.

With eight minutes remaining of the 90, Casey Bartlett-Scott was adjudged to have fouled Adetola Adeniran just inside the penalty area. Second-half substitute Tom ROLLS stepped up, and found the bottom corner from 12-yards to reduce the deficit.

Just after the spot-kick, Baffins skipper Rob Evans saw shown into the sin-bin, meaning his side had to see the fixture out with ten players – and that they did with a composed defensive display during seven gruelling additional minutes.
