Baffins Sign Smith-Alferez

Baffins Milton Rovers Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of promising youngster David Smith-Alferez.

The 17-year-old joins from Wessex League Division One outfit Fleetlands, where he was managed by current Baffins joint-managers Pete Stiles and Matt Powell.

Last term was his first in senior football and the young winger made ten starts for the Gosport-based club, with 18 appearances from the bench, scoring twice.

Matt Powell said: "He's an exciting talent who is full of skill and pace - our supporters will enjoy watching him.

'Pete and I have handed debuts to several 16-year-olds in the last few years who have gone on to secure professional contracts, but we believe with the right environment and opportunity - David has the potential to be the best of the bunch."
