Jason Parish and Tom Vincent struck in the second half, adding to Steve Ramsey's first goal for the club to earn a 3-1 victory at Portland.
Baffins were without midfield regulars Charlie Oakwell (suspended) and Harvey Wellham (unavailable) for the 174-mile round-trip to Portland, the longest of the Wessex League campaign.
Danny Thompson handed a full debut to young midfielder Harry Fox, who was the only change to the team that earned a point at Bemerton seven days prior.
And it was Thompson's side who started the brightest in Dorset, with Steve Ramsey's strike from the edge of the box forcing Mike Edgar into a low save. Just eight minutes later, Ramsey struck his first goal for Baffins since his dual-registration move from AFC Portchester.
Debutant Fox's surging run ended with the midfielder being hacked down just outside the area, and Ramsey's free-kick deflected into the back of the net to break the deadlock.
An injury to Portland player-manager Franklyn Clarke lead to a lengthy first-half stoppage before Ed Sanders was in the right place at the right time to ensure Portland couldn’t level the match, clearing off his own line.
Baffins thought they had doubled their lead deep into first-half stoppage time as Miles Everett’s drilled cross was met by Jason Parish - whose effort agonisingly crashed off the underside of the crossbar and stayed out.
It was the hosts who began the second-half on the front foot, with Brinley Doyle equalising the match. But, just 30 seconds after the restart, Rovers skipper Parish cut in from the wing and emphatically fired past Edgar to re-instate the Baffins lead.
Just after the hour mark in Dorset, and Portland goalkeeper Edgar attempted to take the ball around both Tom Vincent and Fox, but the former stole the ball and rounded the ‘keeper to slot into an empty net.
Portland’s frustration showed in the final stages of the clash as captain Ryan McKechnie shoved Roux Hardcastle to the floor and was subsequently shown a second yellow card.
Baffins headed back to PO3 with three points in the bag, ahead of Tuesday night’s visit of Cowes Sports (7:30pm kick-off).
Baffins: Hardcastle, Evans, Francis, Paige, Giddings, Sanders, Fox (Scammell 75), Ramsey (Robinson 68), Parish, Vincent (Kamara 87), Everett (Brewer 75). Subs not used: Johnson.
